1. Open the Phone application
2. Click on the Contacts tab
3. Scroll to the contact you want to block and tap their name.
4. Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
5. Click “Block numbers” in the drop-down menu.
6. Click “Lock”.

2. Click Recent
3. Press the “Information” button next to the number you want to block.

What happens when you block a number on your iPhone?
You may be hesitant to block someone’s number because you don’t want them to know you are doing it. Don’t worry, they will not receive any kind of notification, even if they try to contact you afterwards. Messages sent or received will not be delivered. However, they will be able to leave a voice message, but you will not be notified if they do so. Thank goodness….

If you are tired of seeing the “Unknown Caller ID”, you can do one of two things:
Sends all restricted calls to voicemail.
1. Go to Settings > Phone
2. Press “Silence unknown calls” and activate the “On” option.
3. Create a contact for restricted numbers and block it.
4. Open the Phone application
5. Press Contacts
6. Press the + sign to add a new contact and enter the number: XXX XX XX XX XX XX.
7. Scroll down and select “Block this person”.

If you change your mind, unblocking a number is (for better or worse) as easy as blocking it.

1. Open the Phone application
2. Click the More icon (looks like three vertical dots).
3. Press Settings > Blocked numbers
4. Press X next to the number you wish to unblock.

How do you know if someone has blocked your number?
Unfortunately, there is no sure way to know if someone has blocked your number. However, there are a couple of indicators that might suggest that your number has been blocked.
Your calls are sent directly to voicemail.
You send a text message and do not see a “Delivered” confirmation. This is only really useful if both parties have iPhones. Messages sent to Android users will be received normally, but will not be delivered.
If these things happen when you try to contact a number, it does not always mean that you are blocked. They may have their phone or mobile data turned off. They may also be out of signal range.
If you find you are blocked, don’t worry. You’ll be better off without them…
